For children playgrounds as well as areas around pools or houses, the surfaces are designed with higher flexibility and elasticity. First of all, protected are the areas around seesaws, slides, carousels and ladders. Elastic granule surfaces not only ease the effects of hits, but also limit in large extent the risk of abrasions and scratches. Thickness of the base layer is selected adequately to the HIC ( Head Injury Criterion ) in given area.
