PROPERTIES OF EPDM VIRGIN GRANULES

HOW VIRGIN GRANULES ARE MADE?

EPDM "Virgin” granules are the highest quality material made of original rubber compound produced in controlled conditions in order to reach predefined properties. Specially selected components like rubber, oil, pigments and chemical add-ons are carefully blended in the mixer machine. So created compound is then vulcanized in the autoclave to make it hard, but flexible. The last stage of production is to granulate the compound into small, uniform grains with specified size (fraction).

WE DECIDE ON OUR GRANULE PROPERTIES!

We control the entire manufacturing process from the beginning to the end. That is why, "Virgin" compounds are basically characterized by repeatable quality and durability – the product maintain its properties despite intensive use and changing atmospheric conditions.

  • high resistance to abrasion
  • resistance to UV radiation
  • resistance to high and low temperatures
  • resistance to water
  • possibility to individually select some properties, e.g., hardness
  • possibility to have any color

Due to its properties, EPDM "Virgin” is mainly used as the top layer and as the artificial turf infill.
